Bringin’ Luckey Finds back this week with more New York City + Brooklyn Restaurants & Bars! Read on for some good finds.
&pizza ($) – I’ve heard so many good things about this place from a fellow blogger friend, so I knew that I had to check it out for myself once they opened their Manhattan location. If you’ve never been or aren’t familiar with the spot, it’s a lot like a chipotle for pizza, but the options here are endless. The hardest decision of my day was deciding exactly which toppings to pair with which sauce – I know, the struggle is real. On top of all of that, the pizza’s are only $10.99. I’m tellin’ you, this is the ultimate pizza spot.
Egg Shop ($) – I’m going to be completely honest with you – I found out about this spot through Instagram (typical, right?), but the best part was the food actually lived up to the hype. I went for the custom egg & cheese, pairing the scrambled eggs, gruyere and buttermilk biscuit with maple syrup and bacon. In all honesty, I’m still raving about this sandwich to this day. The eggs were super fluffy and light and the bacon couldn’t have tasted more fresh. The only thing keeping me from going back everyday is well, the price ($10 for the sandwich) & the fact that it probably isn’t the healthiest food for you, but man is it worth it!
Torst ($$) – I came across this spot while browsing Yelp a few weeks ago and once I saw the pictures, I knew it was a spot that Zach and I had to check out. We stopped by this past weekend for an afternoon drink and it was the perfect spot to cool off from the NYC humidity. Not only is the bar super sleek and the vibe very ‘Brooklyn’, but we found that the restaurant actually has a Michelin Star! We settled in, grabbed a beer and placed an order for the fried okra. Neither of us had ever actually had okra so it might not have been the best option, but we both agreed that the charred corn that came along with it was to die for. On top of that, the selection of unique beers is endless and range in price from $6-$10. Overall, it was such a great find and definitely a spot that we’ll be frequenting on the reg!
Are there any new restaurants in Manhattan or Brooklyn that you’ve tried recently?
