Well, 2016 went by real fast, didn’t it? It’s hard to believe that another year in NYC has gone by and that I’m another year older (eeek!!), but hey, all in all, it was a great year.
I made some pretty big life changes this year and I’m happy to say that all were for the better. First and foremost, this year I moved into my first big girl apartment (at least that’s what I like to call it). I had lived with roommates ever since college and knew that it was time to build a home on my own. Although the space isn’t completely finished, it has slowly but surely become home to me.
Another big change this year was switching jobs. Although I’m still in the fashion industry, I knew it was time to make a slight change professionally. I’ve personally seen myself grow into this current position and feel that I’ve made great strides in my career – something that I’m very proud of.
While there are SO many other things that have happened this year, another thing that I’m extremely happy about is how much that my blog has grown. Having a demanding full-time job along with the blog, all while trying to have a personal life, can prove to be extremely challenging, but I feel that I’m slowly but surely taking steps to make everything work in the most efficient way possible.
So, although I didn’t mange to achieve every resolution that I had set for myself this past year, I do feel that this has been a year of growth for me and for the blog and hey, who can complain about that?
While reminiscing on all of the things that took place this past year is bittersweet, there are so many things that I’m looking forward to in 2017. First and foremost, Zach and I will be heading to Mexico in just a few short weeks! I couldn’t think of a better way to start out the year. This year I will also be traveling to the Cook Islands and New Zealand, so it’s safe to say that this will be a year of travel for me. So let’s all cheers to all that the new year has to come!
Would love to hear what everyone else accomplished this year or any resolutions that you have for 2017!
