Luckey Finds is back with a few recommendations on the Upper East Side and Brooklyn, including one of my go-to spots!
– Naked Dog ($$) – Where do I start with this place? Nestled in the cutest area of Greenpoint in Brooklyn, this restaurant is a true hidden gem. Zach and I had stumbled upon it during one of our early morning walks and knew that we had to check it out, so we booked a reservation for my parents next visit. We had 7:30 p.m. reservations but headed there around 5:30 p.m. to catch their happy hour specials, including small bites and some of the tastiest and most unique cocktails I’ve had in a while. We were seated at our table and ordered the Calamari and Shrimp Bruschetta (so yummy) for appetizer and sat enjoying our drinks for a while before ordering our main courses. When we were ready, I ended up ordering the Agnolotti, which was a pillow shaped pasta filled with ricotta and Italian herbs in a white truffle butter sauce, grilled corn, mint and parm. I kid you not, it was probably some of the best plates of pasta that I’ve ever tasted in my life.
